Today marks the last day of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia (MBFWA). After looking at the collections that have been paraded over the past few days a few trends seemed apparent:
GYPSY/BOHEMIAN
Floaty materials and prints were a feature of Kirrily Johnston, Camilla and Alice McCall's collections this year. Their collections drew inspiration from Eastern European gypsies.

BOLD COLOURS
Bold colours have been "in" for the past seasons and if the collections of the past fews days are anything to go by then they will be around for Spring/Summer 2012/13.

PEPLUM
I didn't know the actual name for this trend but have seen it on the rise lately. For those of you like me peplum is a short flared, pleated or gathered piece of fabric attached to the waist of a women's clothing item.

METALLICS
Metallics and high sheen were seen in quite a few collections too, particularly in the evening wear collections.
