Thredbo and Mt Selwyn 2015 | Trip Report and Travel Vlog

By 6:08 PM , , ,

Two weekends ago we made the six hour drive from Sydney to the snow, on the way we saw plenty of cattle and "sleeping" wombats. Our first stop was Thredbo, where decided to forgo any snow activity and instead take the cable car up Mt Kosciuszko and enjoy the view. Being so early in the season, the snow was sparse but we did find a few snow covered slopes to slide down. We then drove 1.5 hours to our Airbnb accomodation in Corryong, Clovelly House, a lovely farmhouse in the middle of nowhere (or so it felt when we drove there in the dark and were greeted by cows on our arrival). The next morning we drove another 1.5 hours to Mt Selwyn, for people who want a bit of snow play I would recommend going here because you get a toboggan as part of your $10 entry fee. Since I am not a skier or snowboarder this was ideal for me. But enough text, enjoy my trip in a short visual format:
