Chocolate Chip Cookies | Recipe
Imagine soft, buttery, warm cookies with generous chunks of chocolate. Imagine the smell of them as they come out of the oven, the slight crumble as you bite into it or being naughty and sandwiching two of them between ice cream and dulche de leche. Is your mouth watering a little? Mine is and I did all of that just yesterday! And with this quick and easy recipe you can do it all too!
Ingredients
3/4 cup butter
1/2 white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla essence
1 egg
2 cups plain flour
1/2 teaspoon bi card soda
Pinch of salt
1.5 cups of chocolate chunks
Directions
1. Beat together butter and sugars until light and creamy
2. Mix in vanilla essence and the egg for 15 seconds
3. Mix in flour, bicarb soda and salt
4. Fold through the chocolate chunks
5. Using a teaspoon form 21 small balls of the mix and then space them out on two trays lined with baking paper. Flatten out the balls into discs
6. Bake for 15 mins at 180 degrees Celcius
7. Allow to cool on tray for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
